We analysed the data using two main methods. First, the application of the right dihedral method quickly provided a robustgraphical expression of the mechanicalcompatibility within a setof focal mechanisms. Second, a direct inversion gave an accurate quantitative account of the stress state. This method is based on consideration of the SSSC (Slip Shear Stress Component) criterion. The SSSC is the component of stress acting in the slip direction of a fault. The intrinsic characteristics of the adopted criterion results in two main technical properties of the method. First, no choice between the nodal planes is needed prior to or during the inversion. Second, the numerical aspects are reduced to a minimum so that the runtime is negligible regardless of the size of the data set. The major advantage of this method is that, after the inversion, three main estimators enable one to evaluate the mechanical consistency of a data set in terms of both the individual and the average misfit levels obtained from the best-fitting stress tensor. These estimators are the estimator of the stability of the stress regime, the estimator to determine the accuracy of the analysis level and the estimator of mechanical stability stress tensors. The focal mechanism of the earthquake data was collected from 1935 to 2013 from a variety of sources. Some of these sources were online moment tensor catalogs and other sources were extracted from the literature. Due to the very different characteristics of tectonics in Fars Province, we deemed it necessary to divide the area into zones with relatively similar stress regimes, and then follow these methods for each zone. Therefore, in view of the tectonic features and earthquake characteristics, the best linear unbiased geostatistical estimator method (Kriging) was used which provided the ability to predict under study variables in each unsampled coordinates based on a spatial correlation function. Therefore, using the spatial prediction method of Kriging, we could predict the spatial axes of the stress variables P and T to pre-identify the zones. This pre-identification of zones improves and facilitates using the method of systematic inversion of focal mechanisms. To choose the best spatial model, the Leave-one-out cross validation method was used. In addition,prediction residualswere evaluated to select the best spatial Kriging method.Evaluating and cross validation results showed that the Ordinary Kriging method presented the best spatial prediction method to pre-identify the zones. According to the Ordinary Kriging results, the five relatively distinct zones of stress characteristics in Fars Province wereidentified. The results of the systematic inversion of focal mechanisms indicated that the mean principal stress axesoptimized zones do not change significantly, and the common trend of NNE-SSW (N21E to N34E) was determined.The uniformity of the stress regime of the area(Fars Province) increased as we moved from the northwest (the range of Kazeroun shear fault zone) to the southeast and the southwest areas. The nonuniformity of the stress regimes implied heterogeneity and heterogeneous kinetic mechanisms for seismic faults and the stress distribution in the mentioned areas. The kinetic mechanism of the northwest and southeast fault zoneshavea tendency to strike slip and general  mechanism of southwest area is revers for many faults.}, keywords = {Stress tensor,Slip Shear Stress Component,focal mechanism,Fars province,Kriging}, title_fa = {استفاده از وارون‌سازی دادههای سازوکار کانونی زمین‌لرزه برای بررسی رژیم تنش لرزه‌زمین‌ساختی استان فارس}, abstract_fa = {در این پژوهش، به تحلیل میدان‌های تنش لرزه‌زمین‌ساختی استان فارس، بر پایه وارون‌سازی سازمان یافته داده‌های سازوکار کانونی زمین‌لرزه‌ها به روش آنجلیه (2002) پرداخته شده است. مهم‌ترین هدف این مقاله بررسی میزان یکنواختی رژیم تنش لرزه‌زمین‌ساختی و نوع سازوکار جنبشی غالب و احتمالی گسل‌‌های مسبب زمین‌لرزه در مناطق گوناگون محدوده مورد بررسی است. این روش، سه ارزیاب مهم برای تفسیر ویژگی‌‌های زمین‌ساختی به‌دست می‌‌دهد که عبارت‌انداز، ارزیاب‌‌های میزان پایداری رژیم تنش، ارزیاب‌‌های تعیین درجه صحت تحلیل و ارزیاب‌‌های تعیین میزان پایداری مکانیکی تانسورهای تنش. داده‌‌های سازوکار کانونی مورد استفاده در این پژوهش، محدوده‌‌ای بین سال‌‌های 1935 تا 2013 را در بر می‌‌گیرد. با توجه به ویژگی‌‌های زمین‌ساختی متفاوتمحدوده مورد بررسی، لازم دانستیم که برای دستیابی به یک تحلیل واقع‌بینانه از رژیم تنش لرزه‌زمین‌ساختی، منطقه را به پهنه‌های با رژیم تنش به‌نسبت مجزا و متفاوت تقسیم کنیم و سپس روش‌ ذکر شده را برای هر پهنه به کار ببندیم. بدین‌منظور، با در نظر داشتن ویژگی‌‌های زمین‌ساختی و لرزه‌زمین‌ساختی و استفاده از بهترین روش‌‌های پیش‌بینی زمین‌آماری خطی نااریب مکانی (کریجینگ) با متغیر‌های روند محورهای تنش بیشینه (P) و کمینه (T)، پنج پهنهبا ویژگی‌های تنشی مجزا تشخیص داده شد. با توجه به اینکه روش کریجینگ این امکان را فراهم می‌آورد که بتوان مقدار متغیر مورد بررسی را در هر نقطه دلخواه که اطلاعات آن در دسترس نیست پیش‌بینی کرد لذا استفاده از این روش به‌منظور تشخیص اولیه این پهنه‌ها، موجب تسهیل و بهبود در استفاده از روش وارون‌سازی داده‌های سازوکار کانونی در مناطق گوناگون می‌شود. ازآنجاکه در استفاده از روش کریجینگ هر مدلی نمی‌تواند مناسب باشد، به‌منظور تشخیص و استفاده از بهترین مدل کریجینگ روش اعتبارسنجی Leave-one-outبه کار گرفته شد. همچنین تحلیل خطاهای ‌مانده‌ها، به‌منظور انتخاب بهترین مدل صورت گرفت. مناسب‌ترین مدل از بین انواع روش‌های موجود کریجینگ به‌منظور پیش‌بینی روند محور‌های تنش در کل استان فارس به کار گرفته شد. براساس نتایج پیش‌بینی مکانی و ارزیابی مناسبت مدل‌ها روش کریجینگ عام بهترین نتایج را برای پهنه بندی اولیه به‌دست داد. براساس نتایج کریجینگ عام، پنج پهنه اولیه در استان فارس شناسایی و روش وارون‌سازی دادههای سازوکار کانونی در این پنج پهنه به کار گرفته شد. نتایجتحلیل نشان می‌دهد که سوی میانگین محورهایتنش‌ اصلی بهینه شده استان فارس، تغییرات زیادی نداشته و در جهت NNE-SSWN21Eتا N34E) است و با روند عمومی هم‌گرایی بین صفحه عربی و ایران مرکزی مطابقت دارد. پایداری و یکنواختی رژیم تنش، از پهنه‌های شمال غرب (محدوده سامانه گسل برشی کازرون) و جنوب شرق محدوده، به سمت پهنه جنوب غرب استان افزایش پیدا می‌کند. یکنواخت نبودن رژیم تنش، دلالت بر ناهمگنی و نامتجانسی سازوکارهای جنبشی گسل‌‌های لرزه‌زا و توزیع تنش، در مناطق یاد شده دارد. سازوکار جنبشی غالب گسل‌های محدوده‌‌های شمال غرب و جنوب شرق محدوده از نوع برشی امتدادلغز است و حرکت‌‌های معکوس و تا حدودی نرمال، در رتبه بعدی قرار گرفته‌اند و به سمت پهنه جنوب غرب، گسل‌‌ها تمایل زیادی به سازوکار جنبشی معکوسدارد و سازوکار‌‌های امتدادلغزی و نرمال در جایگاه بعدی قرار می‌‌گیرند.}, keywords_fa = {تانسور تنش,مولفه لغزش تنش برشی,سازوکار کانونی,استان فارس,کریجینگ}, url = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33590.html}, eprint = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33590_b7aa11643f20a6c8e88e3220b00d4d83.pdf} } @article { author = {Ganji Khoramdel, Naser and Keykhaei, Fateme and Mardian, Mehdi}, title = {Design and development of groundwater level monitoring network using geostatistical and statistical methods in Arak plain}, journal = {Iranian Journal of Geophysics}, volume = {9}, number = {3}, pages = {17-29}, year = {2016}, publisher = {Iranian Geophysical Society}, issn = {2008-0336}, eissn = {2783-168X}, doi = {}, abstract = {Nowadays, groundwater level estimator models have important roles in development and management of water supplies for agriculture. The analysis of the data obtained from quality and quantity monitoring of groundwater resources is related to the environmental factors and spatial continuous variation is an important common characteristic. For a quantitative description of the distribution patterns of the environmental variables, in addition to the determination of the amount of factor, geographical location of the observations data must be considered. Since the accuracy of the estimator models depends on the quantity of the measured input data, an optimization process is necessary to provide an adequate number of data points like the monitoring wells. Therefore, it is necessary to design and develop a monitoring network in the management programs of groundwater resources. The results of various studies have shown that making use of a geostatistic technique, especially the Kriging method, the groundwater resources could be predicted and monitored with a good performance. Also, the distribution conditions of the observation data and its adequacy can be studied with this method. However, monitoring investigation in Iranian watersheds has been carried out extensively. The subject is very important because in those country plains that are fertile and have the potential to grow various crops depending on the climate, the groundwater level monitoring networks must be well managed. Arak unchained aquifer with an area of 1946 square kilometers has 1458 deep wells and 1554 semi-deep wells. The purpose of this research was to prepare a methodology to investigate on the adequacy of groundwater level monitoring wells in the Arak Plain using the Kriging geostatistical method and the evaluate its advantages with respect to statistical methods. To analyse the data, 45 wells were selected from the Arak Plain. First, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was carried out for data normality. Then, the best semivariogram of the Kriging method was determined based on R2 and RSS. For accuracy evaluation of the monitoring network model, statistical analysis m,measures including the interpolation error, cross validation, and time variation. According to results of R2 and RSS, an experimental variogram in the kriging method was best model. Also, nugget/sill is 0.22 that indicated spatial correlation was high. Based on the interpolation error, in borders of the Arak plain, uncertainty was high due to the lack of observation data. It indicates that the monitoring network needs further development to make it denser in this regions. Based on cross validation, in wells 6, 29, 35 and 36, the difference between observation and estimation data is high, showing that uncertainty in those regions has increased. Therefore, observation data in those regions are important and more wells are necessary. Because Meyghan wetland is located in the center plain, management programs should be considered in monitoring network. It is possible to eliminate 5 observation wells from the middle of the Arak plain, while 5 other wells are needed in the east and northeast of the region. Also, time variation analysis showed that in 10 monitoring wells, short time scale measurement is not needed and it suffices to carry out seasonal scale estimates for groundwater level monitoring.}, keywords = {groundwater level,Monitoring Network,Kriging method,estimation error,Cross validation}, title_fa = {طراحی و توسعه شبکه پایش سطح آب زیرزمینی با استفاده از زمین آمار و روش های آماری در دشت اراک}, abstract_fa = {امروزه مدلهای برآوردگر سطح آب زیرزمینی در امر توسعه و تأمین آب کشاورزی و مدیریت آن نقش مهمی ایفا میکنند. به علت اینکه میزان دقت مدلهای برآوردگر در ارتباط با تعداد دادههای اندازهگیریشده نیز هست، باید یک فرایند بهینهسازی به منظور دستیابی به تعداد دادههای مناسب همانند تعداد شبکه چاههای مشاهدهای داشت. هدف از این تحقیق، عرضه روشی برای بررسی کفایت شبکه چاههای مشاهدهای سطح آب زیرزمینی دشت اراک براساس تحلیلگر زمین آماری کریجینگ و ارزیابی نتایج آن با روشهای آماری است. بدین منظور ابتدا با روش زمین آمار کریجینگ معمولی، نیمپراشنمای تجربی برای 45 داده سطح آب زیرزمینی در دشت اراک تهیه شد. سپس به منظور تشریح میزان پتانسیل بهبود کیفیت شبکه مشاهدهای و ارزیابی دقت و صحت برآوردها، سه تحلیل آماری شامل برآورد خطای میان یابی، ارزیابی متقابل و تغییرپذیری با زمان به کار گرفته شد. مطابق با نتایج، می توان 5 چاه از میانه دشت اراک را از شبکه پایش حذف کرد؛ درحالی که در 5 نقطه دیگر، عمدتاً در شرق و شمال شرق، نیاز به چاه است. همچنین با توجه به تحلیل وردش زمانی صورت گرفته، در 10 چاه مشاهدهای، نیازی به اندازهگیری با مقیاس زمانی کوتاه نیست و اندازهگیری- هایی در مقیاس فصلی نیز برای پایش سطح آب زیرزمینی کفایت میکند.}, keywords_fa = {سطح آب زیرزمینی,شبکه پایش,روش کریجینگ,خطای برآورد,ارزیابی متقابل}, url = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33598.html}, eprint = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33598_9f3db91790d149484fb2c1ac5d72c2e8.pdf} } @article { author = {Khojamli, Allahyar and Moradzadeh, Ali and Doulati Ardejani, Faramarz and Rahmani, Mohammad Reza and Porkhial, Soheil}, title = {An assessment of the dimensionality of subsurface geoelectric structures and 1-D and 2-D inverse modelling of magnetotelluric data in NW of Sabalan geothermal region}, journal = {Iranian Journal of Geophysics}, volume = {9}, number = {3}, pages = {30-44}, year = {2016}, publisher = {Iranian Geophysical Society}, issn = {2008-0336}, eissn = {2783-168X}, doi = {}, abstract = {Magnetotelluric (MT) is a geophysical exploration method that utilizes simultaneous measurements of naturally occurring magnetic and electric fields. As this method utilizes natural electromagnetic (EM) signals with a wide frequency range, its exploration depth is from several meters to several kilometers. Depending on its frequency, it is used for petroleum, groundwater, geothermal, mineral, and geotechnical explorations. To determine electrical variation of a subsurface structure using the MT survey, five components of electric and magnetic field variation are measured on the earth’s surface in each measuring site. The two components of the horizontal electric field (Ex and Ey) and also two horizontal components of the magnetic field (Hx and Hy) are normally measured in the north-south (x) and east-west (y) directions. An extra measurement of the vertical component of the magnetic field (Hz) is sometime measured in each measuring site. The relationship between the electric and magnetic fields at the earth’s surface can be written as  where, and is the complex impedance tensor of order 22. When the resistivity of the earth is a function of depth (i.e. in a one-dimensional earth), the diagonal elements of impedance tensor (Z) are equal to zero and its off-diagonal elements are equal in amplitude but opposite in signs. In two-dimensional (2-D) structures where resistivity is invariant in the strike direction, diagonal terms become zero if the EM fields are defined in a coordinate system normal to the strike of the structure. In such cases, the impedance component of the electric field which is parallel to strike (i.e. transverse electric (TE) mode) would be different from those components of the electric field perpendicular to the strike (i.e. the transverse magnetic (TM) mode). In the case of 2-D structures, if the impedance is measured in an arbitrary orientation, the angle required to rotate the measurements into TE and TM modes can be determined from the impedance tensor. In the case of the three-dimensional (3-D) earth, the entire components of Z would be non-zero. Presently, most of the MT survey is performed as electrical sounding and the measured data is then modeled and interpreted to sense the details of the subsurface structure. To provide a reasonable and physically meaningful model of the subsurface structure, its dimension must be determined somehow. To determine the dimensionality of the subsurface structure using MT data, several parameters such as conventional skew, ellipticity and polar diagrams of the impedance tensor elements are used in practice. As these parameters are very sensitive to the noise of data, the phase sensitive skew and some dimensionality indices were defined. In this study, it was attempted to use various parameters such as conventional skew, ellipticity and phase sensitive skew along with dimensionality weighting indices (D1, D2, D3) to determine the structural dimension of the Sabalan geothermal field in the NW of Iran using MT data. It was also attempted to model the MT data of several sites along a profile located in Moil valley in the NW of Sabalan in order to determine any possible location of the geothermal reservoirs.   The obtained results indicated that the structure up to the medium depth was 1-D and the deepest structure was 2-D. As the subsurface structure of the area was 1-D at periods lower than 1 second, the averaged data of both TE and TM modes were first inverted one-dimensionally using the WinGlink software to explore and delineate the locations of any geothermal reservoirs likely to be present in the study area. The inversion results illustrated a layered structure located from the ground surface to the depth level of 1500 meters above the sea level (m.a.s.l) which in turn confirmed the shallow depth structures were 1-D. The results also showed a highly conductive layer, with resistivity lower than 40 Ω.m located beneath the MT stations of 24 to 244. The results of drilling revealed that this conductive zone could be interpreted as a clay cap over the geothermal reservoir which elongates to an approximate depth of 1000 meter. This clay zone overlays a more resistive zone, with resistivity values from 40 to 100 Ω.m, which in turn can be interpreted as a geothermal reservoir. The data from a 2-D joint inversion of the TE and TM modes confirmed the results of the 1-D inversion of the MT data for shallow to intermediate depths. It further delineated that the location of the geothermal reservoir was at a depth zone of 500-1500 m.a.s.l. under the sounding location of 7-245 in the south to south eastern part of the study area.}, keywords = {Magnetotelluric,geothermal resource,dimensionality parameters,1-D and 2-D modeling,reservoir rock}, title_fa = {ارزیابی تعیین بعُد ساختارهای ژئوالکتریک زیرسطحی و مدلسازی وارون یک و دوبُعدی دادههای مگنتوتلوریک منطقه زمین‌گرمایی شمال غرب سبلان}, abstract_fa = {مگنتوتلوریک یکی از روش‌های اکتشاف ژئوفیزیکی است که از ثبت هم‌زمان میدان‌های طبیعی مغناطیسی و الکتریکی القایی در زمین استفاده می‌کند. ازآنجاکه این روش از سیگنال‌های الکترومغناطیسی طبیعی با بازه وسیع بسامدی بهره می‌گیرد عمق اکتشاف آن از چند ده متر تا چندین کیلومتر تغییر می‌کند. در تحقیق حاضر تلاش می‌‌شود تا با بهره‌گیری از پارامترهای ابعادی متفاوتی مثل چولگی،  بیضی‌وارگی،چولگی حساس به فاز،و شاخص‌های وزنی D1D2D3، بعُد ساختار‌های ژئوالکتریک زیرسطحی به کمک داده‌‌های مگنتوتلوریک شمال غرب سبلان تعیین شود. در ادامه سعی خواهد شد تا با مدل‌سازی یک‌بعدیو دوبُعدی داده‌‌های فاز و مقاومت ویژه ظاهری چندین سونداژ مگنتوتلوریک واقع بر یک نیم‌رُخ واقع در دره مویل، محل قرارگیری منبع زمین‌گرمایی احتمالی منطقه تعیین شود. نتایج تحلیل پارامتر‌های ابعادی نشان می‌‌دهد که ساختار زمین‌شناسی و ژئوالکتریکی منطقه برای دور‌های زمانی کمتر از 1 ثانیه (معادل اعماق کم تا متوسط) یک‌بُعدی و در دور‌های زمانی بیشتر از آن (اعماق زیاد) اغلب دوبُعدی است. همچنین نتایج حاصل از مدل‌سازی یک‌ بعدیو دوبُعدی داده‌‌های سونداژ‌‌های مگنتوتلوریک و تفسیر آنها همراه با نتایج حفاری موجود گویای آن است که لایه‌های موجود در اعماق کمتر از 1000 متری با مقاومت ویژه کمتر از 40 اُهم‌‌متر را می‌توان به سنگ‌پوش رُسی که در بالای منبع زمین‌گرمایی قرار گرفته است نسبت داد. در زیر این پوشش رُسی طبقات سنگی با مقاومت ویژه بین 40 تا 100 اُهم‌متر قرار دارند که می‌توان آن را به منزلة سنگ مخزن منبع زمین‌گرمایی احتمالی منطقه تفسیر کرد.}, keywords_fa = {مگنتوتلوریک,منبع زمین‌گرمایی,پارامترهای ابعادی,مدلسازی یک بعدیو دوبُعدی,سنگ مخزن}, url = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33591.html}, eprint = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33591_90d2019a120592ab95db039d0f8288e6.pdf} } @article { author = {Fattahi, Morteza and Rezakhani, Freshtehe and Schwenninger, Jean-Luc and Sauer, Eberhard W and Omrani Rekavandi, Hamid and Wilkinson, Tony J. and Nokandeh, Jebrael and Abbasi, Ghorban Ali and Mahmoudi, Majid}, title = {Great Wall of Gorgan: OSL dating of part of the wall}, journal = {Iranian Journal of Geophysics}, volume = {9}, number = {3}, pages = {45-59}, year = {2016}, publisher = {Iranian Geophysical Society}, issn = {2008-0336}, eissn = {2783-168X}, doi = {}, abstract = {The Great Wall of Gorgan in Northern Iran was around 200 km long from the Elburz Mountains into the south-east of the Caspian Sea and inculded over 33forts. A canal at least 5 m deep, conducted water along most of the wall.  The main research questions included how, when and why did people construct a wall of such enormous dimensions? To make such large quantities of bricks, it was essential to have a supply of flowing water. A water canal was fed by a complex system of supplier canals that ran along most of the wall. To ensure regular water flow, the route of the canal and the wall had to have a constant gradient. To achieve such a constant gradient over more than 100 km is the most impressive evidence for the high standards of Persian engineering. Until 2005, there had been no consensus on the age of the Gorgan Wall. Some thought it had been built by the Macedonian king Alexander in the 4th c. BC; the wall is also known as ‘Alexander’s Barrier’. Others suggested it was built as late as the 6th c. AD under the great Persian king Khusrau I. Majority opinion, since the important fieldwork project by Dr Kiani (1982a and b) in the 1970s, favoured a 2nd or 1st c. BC construction. In order to solve the question that which of these dating proposals is correct, the best way was to determine the absolute date of the wall.  Among other dating methods carbon-14 and luminescence were the best for this purpose.  14C is one of the most accurate methods but requires organic material.  However, Gorgan wall is made of bricks.  There are quartz and feldspar in loess that is the main material of the bricks. Quartz and feldspar are two main luminescence dosimeters.As bricks are cooked in ovens, the luminescence clock of quartz and feldspar inside the bricks will reset due to being exposed to a temperature more than 300°C. The sediments contain quartz and feldspar.  When sediments are exposed to day light, their luminescence clock will reset. As soon as bricks cool down or the sediment that was exposed to light is buried, the luminescence clock will start again.  The minerals inside the bricks and the sediment will be exposed to a radiation (alpha, beta and gamma).  Such radiations are emitted by radioactive materials such as uranium, thorium and potassium-40. They damage the crystal structure and the atoms are ionised.  Electrons separated from the atoms are trapped and their number are accumulated as time passes. We sampled one brick from the best-preserved section in Trench E (near the excavated Gorgan Wall brick kiln in Trench A) near the eastern terminal of the Gorgan Wall (Figs 5 and 6). Another brick was taken from the Gorgan Wall near Gonbad-e Kavus. We also collected one OSL sample sediment from below the foundations of the Gorgan Wall near Gonbad-e Kavus that predated the Gorgan wall (Fig 7).  One bone was also collected from a trench close to Fort 9 which post-dated the construction of wall (Fig 9). All four samples were transferred to and dated in Oxford University luminescence lab.  The results of the OSL samples are presented in Table 1.  The optically stimulated luminescence and radiocarbon dating conclusively proved that the Gorgan Wall had been built in during the Sasanian Empire.   We hope to be able to narrow down this date further in the future.}, keywords = { Gorgan Wall,OSL dating,radiocarbon dating,History}, title_fa = {دیوار بزرگ گرگان: سن‌یابی به روش رخشانی بخشی از دیوار}, abstract_fa = {دیوار بزرگ گرگان از شرق دریای خزر آغاز می‌شود و بعد از عبور از شمال آق‌قلعه، گمیشان و شمال گنبد تا کوه‌های گلیداغ در شمال شرق کلاله ادامه می‌یابد و در کوه‌های پیش‌کمر (ترکمن) محو می‌شود.  پژوهش‌‌های باستان‌شناسی به‌منظور شناسایی و به نقشه کشیدن دیوار گرگان 120 سال پیش ازسوی ژاک دمورگان آغاز شد.سپس آرندر۱۳۱۲، اریک اشمیت در ۱۳۱۶، محمد یوسف‌کیانی در ۱۳۵۰و دیگران تا سال 1357 آن را ادامه دادند. از ۱۳۵۷ تا ۱۳۷۸ (تشکیل استان گلستان) این پژوهش متوقف ماند. با شروع ساخت سد گلستان (سال 1378)، دیوار گرگان مورد توجه قرار گرفت و بعد از 1381 کاوش‌‌ها آغاز شد و تاکنون ادامه یافته‌است. این تحقیقات نشان داده است این دیوار با حدود ۲۰۰ کیلومتر طول، بزرگ‌ترین دیوار آجری جهان و بزرگ‌ترین دیوار دفاعی جهان پس از دیوار چین است. دیوار گرگان شامل حداقل 33دژ دفاعی است که احتمالا محل استقرار سربازان بوده استتقریبا در سراسر دیوار و در جلوی آن خندق یا کانال انتقال آب به عمق بیش از پنج متر وجود داشته است که آب را از طریق رودخانه «گرگان رود» به سمت خندق و کوره‌‌های آجرپزی و زمین‌‌های پایین‌دست هدایت می‌‌کرده استمتاسفانه به‌جز بخش‌‌های کوچکی از دیوار بزرگ گرگان که در زیر خاک مدفون مانده، تقریبا تمام این دیوار در طول سال‌ها براثر عوامل طبیعی و انسانی از میان رفته است. بااین‌حال خوشبختانه امکان احیای بخش‌هایی از این دیوار وجود دارد. در مورد زمان ساخت دیوار نظرات مختلفی داده شده است که از 4 قرن قبل از میلاد تا 6 قرن پس از میلاد را پوشش می‌‌دهد.  لذا تعیین قدمت این دیوار اهمیت بسیاری دارد. چنانچه سن ساخت دیوار تعیین می‌‌شد پاسخ بسیاری پرسش‌ها آسان می‌‌شد. به همین علت با حضور در منطقه اقدام به نمونه برداری برای سن‌یابی کردیم. در 1384 (2005) سه نمونه رخشانیو یک نمونه رادیوکربن مورد بررسی قرار گرفت.نتایج سن‌یابی دوران ساخت این دیوار را در زمان ساسانیان نشان می‌‌دهد و این سن‌‌های مطلق به باستان‌شناسان و تاریخ‌دانان فرصت داد تا نظریه‌‌های علل و چگونگی ساخت دیوار را  دقیق‌تر بیان کنند.  با توجه به اهمیت دیوار گرگان این مقاله کوشش دیگری است تا ضمن توضیح عملیات سن‌یابی، این دیوار را به مردم بشناساند}, keywords_fa = { دیوار گرگان,سن‌یابی,رخشانی,رادیوکربن,تاریخچه}, url = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33592.html}, eprint = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33592_fd4a9a8a10b5e82258e07756c9089519.pdf} } @article { author = {Ghalenovi, Samira and Ebrahimzadeh Ardestani, Vahid}, title = {Depth, amplitude coefficient and geometrical shape factor estimation of barite’s ore-body by nonlinearly unconstrained inversion of gravity data}, journal = {Iranian Journal of Geophysics}, volume = {9}, number = {3}, pages = {60-75}, year = {2016}, publisher = {Iranian Geophysical Society}, issn = {2008-0336}, eissn = {2783-168X}, doi = {}, abstract = {One of the most important exploration problems in geophysics is to estimate the geophysical parameters from the observed or residual gravity anomaly related to a buried structure, such as depth, amplitude coefficient and geometrical shape factor. The gravity anomaly expression produced by a simple geometrically shaped model (sphere orcylinder) can be represented by an appropriate analytical formula. Several interpretative methods have been developed to interpret gravity field data assuming a fixed simple geometrical model such as a sphere, a horizontal cylinder or a vertical cylinder. In most cases, these methods consider the geometrical shape factor of the buried body to be apriori assumed, and the depth variable may thereafter be obtained by graphical methods applied to the residual anomaly. However, only a few methods have been developed to determine the shape of the buried structure from the residual gravity anomaly. Consequently, the accuracy of the results obtained by these methods depends on the accuracy within which the residual anomaly can be separated from the observed gravity anomaly. In this study, a new and simple method has been developed to estimate the depth, amplitude coefficient and geometrical shape factor of a buried structure from the observed (composite) or residual gravity anomaly related to a cylinder or sphere-like structure. The method is based on nonlinearly constrained mathematical modeling and also stochastic optimization approaches. This method consists of three main steps: The first step is oriented to formulate a nonlinearly constrained optimization model (NCOM) which mathematically describes the geophysical gravity problem related to the studied structure. The (NCOM) model is to optimize a mathematical objective function on an unbounded subset (defined by mathematical inequalities constrains in which the geophysical parameters are generally surmised to satisfy) contained in the free geophysical parameters. Ignoring these mathematical constrains probably leads to general error estimations of the parameters. In this research, the objective function was taken as the statistical likelihood function which depends on the deviations between the observed and synthetic points and also on the number of observations. The second step is directed to suggest an interior penalty function to transform the (NCOM) model into a nonlinearly unconstrained optimization one (NUOM). The goal of using the penalty function is to eliminate the constraints of the (NCOM) model and make them reactive in a new target function of the (NUOM) model[E1] . The target function of the (NUOM) model considers both the objective function of the (NCOM) model and the suggested interior penalty function. The third step is to solve the (NUOM) model by the adaptive simulated annealing algorithm, a stochastic approach, well-known for optimizing numerical functions of several real decision variables. The obtained solution of the (NUOM) model includes the geophysical gravity parameters of the studied structure such as: depth, amplitude coefficient and shape factor. A statistical analysis has been carried out to demonstrate the accuracy and the precision of the suggested interpretative method. The tectonics is dominated by the NW-SE striking right-lateral North Tabriz Fault (NTF) and regional seismicity (historical and modern one) concentrates[u1] . The NTFis a major seismogenic fault in NW Iran. The last damaging earthquakes on this fault occurred in 1721, rupturing the southeastern fault segment, and in 1780, rupturing the northwestern one. The understanding of the seismic behavior of this fault is critical for assessing the hazard in Tabriz, one of the major cities of Iran; the city suffered major damage in both the 1721 and 1780 events. The north of the NTF seismicity is rare, and almost nothing has been revealed about activity of the structures until now.     On 11th of August 2012, the region was surprisingly struck by a shallow Mw 6.5 earthquake with a pure right-lateral strike-slip character only about 50 km to the north of the NTF. An east-west striking surface rupture of about 20 km length was observed in the field by Geological Survey of Iran. Only 11 minutes later and about 6 km further to NW, a second shallow event with Mw 6.2 occurred. It showed an NE-SW oriented oblique thrust mechanism. This earthquake sequence provided an opportunity to understand better the processes of active deformations and their causes in NW Iran.     Ground-motion relations describing the expected amplitudes of this motion as functions of the magnitude and distance are key components of seismic hazard analyses. Ground-motion (attenuation) relations are used to estimate strong ground motion for many engineering and seismological applications. Where strong motion recordings are abundant, these relations are developed empirically from strong-motion recordings. Where recordings are limited, they are often developed from seismological models using stochastic and theoretical methods.     The stochastic model is a widely-used tool to simulate acceleration time series and develop ground motion relations (Hanks and McGuire, 1981; Boore, 1983; Boore and Atkinson, 1987; Atkinson and Boore, 1995 and 1997; Atkinson and Silva, 1997 and 2000). The stochastic method begins with the specification of the Fourier spectrum of the ground motion as a function of magnitude and distance. The acceleration spectrum is modeled by a spectrum with ω2 shape, where ω is the angular frequency (Aki, 1967; Brune, 1970; Boore 1983). Finite fault modeling has been an important tool for the prediction of ground motion near the epicenters of large earthquakes (Hartzel, 1978; Irikura, 1983; Joyner and Boore, 1986; Heaton and Hartzel, 1986; Somerville et al., 1991; Tumarkin and Archuleta, 1994; Zeng et al., 1994; Beresnev and Atkinson, 1998a). One of the most useful methods to simulate ground motion for a large earthquake is based on the simulation of some small earthquakes as subfaults that comprise a big fault. A large fault is divided into N subfaults, and each subfault is considered as a small point source (introduced by Hartzel, 1978).     In this study, the first region-specific ground motion relations were developed for seismic hazard analysis of NW Iran. The attenuation relation for the horizontal acceleration response spectrum in a period of 0-4 s, with a magnitude range of Mw=5 to 7.7 and distances up to 150 km were established. We used 51 waveforms recorded on a rock site in the NW Iran. Due to the paucity of the data at small distances and large magnitudes, we applied the stochastic method to simulate waveforms for different magnitudes and distances. To overcome the incompleteness of the data set, we simulated 1240 acceleration time series for magnitudes from M5.0 to M7.7 and magnitude steps of 0.2 units for the North Tabriz fault and M5.0 to 6.7 and magnitude steps of 0.5 units for the Ahar fault. The relations were derived by a maximum likelihood regression algorithm from Joyner and Boore (1993) on a set of 1240 simulated strong-motion records and 51 observed ground motions recorded on the rock site in this region. The theoretical-empirical ground motion relation for NW Iran was compared to the ground motion relations for the other regions and had a good agreement with them especially with Akkar and Bommer relations for Europe, the Mediterranean Region and the Middle East. It is formed by a number of nodes and weights connecting the nodes. The input data are multiplied by the corresponding weights, and the summation are entered into neurons. Each neuron has an activation function. Inputs are passed to the activation function, and the output of the neurons is determined. The number of neurons and layers could be obtained through trial and error according to a specific problem. The behavior of a neural network depends on the communication between nodes. Using the trained data, the designed ANN can be adjusted in an iterative procedure to determine optimal parameters of ANN. Then for an unknown input, we can compute corresponding output using the trained ANN.     One of the simplest and effective methods to use in the modeling of real neurons is the multi-layer perceptron neural network. This model consists of one input layer, one or more hidden layers, and one output layer. In this structure, all the neurons in one layer are connected to all neurons in the next layer. An important issue in multi-layer artificial neural networks is the number of neurons. The neurons of input and output layers are determined according to the number of input and output parameters. The number of neurons in the hidden layer can be determined by trial and error through minimizing the total error of the ANN. For this minimization, each ANN parameter’s share in the total error should be computed which can be achieved by a back-propagating algorithm.     There are many methods for training the network and modifications of the weights. One of the most famous and simplest methods is a back-propagation algorithm that trains the network in two stages: feed-forward and feed-backward. In the feed-forward process, the input parameters are moved to the output layer. In this stage, the output parameters are compared with known parameters and the errors are identified. The next stage is done feed-backward. In this stage, the errors are moved from the output layer to the input layer. Again, the input weights are calculated. These two stages are repeated until the errors reach a threshold expected for the output parameters.     In this study, a 3-layer perceptron neural network was used with 28 neurons in a hidden layer for modeling the eastern component (VE) and 27 neurons in a hidden layer for modeling the northern component (VN) velocity field of the earth's crust in Iran. Evaluation of the neural network model has been applied using 11 stations of GPS, and the velocity fields are defined with respect to the Eurasian plate.  The minimum relative error obtained from this evaluation for the eastern component was -3.57% and for the northern component was +0.16%: also the maximum relative error for the eastern component was +38.1% and for the northern component was +95.3%. In this study, a polynomial of degree 5 with 18 coefficients was used to model the east and north components for the evaluation of artificial neural networks in estimating the velocity rate of geodetic points. The earlier MTsurveys (for example Singh and Drolia, 1983), provided qualitative information with limited narrow banded data and limited quantitative results due to noisy electric field data. Through improving the interpretation schemes and lowering the cost of data acquisition, the MT data has been traditionally obtained in profiles targeting the geological structures and then interpreted with one and two-dimensional inversions. In such an interpretation, one fits the off-diagonal impedances (Zxy and Zyx), generally after rotating the coordinate system so that the main diagonal components (Zxx and Zyy) are minimum or at least as small as possible. It rarely happens that we can find a single strike angle optimal for the full frequency range and all sites. Therefore, the potential[J91] impacts of off-profile structures must always be considered. By MT measurements, the electrical conductivity distribution can be determined. Based on the hydrodynamic specification of the geothermal sources, the flow can play the role of an initial parameter in the resistivity contrast of the geothermal source and its surroundings. Using this feature, MT is capable of determining the boundary between a geothermal system and its neighboring medium.     The Mt. Sabalan region lies on the south Caspian Plate, which underthrusts the Eurasian Plate towards the north. It is in turn underthrusted by the Iranian Plate, which produces compression in a northwestern direction. Geological structures in this area are complicated further by a dextral rotational movement caused by the northward underthrusting of the nearby Arabian Plate beneath the Iranian Plate.     The Sabalan geothermal area lies at the northwest slope of Mt. Sabalan, an immense stratovolcano located in the province of Ardebil in northwestern Iran.For the first time in Iran, MT surveys for geothermal investigations have been carried out at around the Sabalan volcano. This study aimed to delineate the shallow as well as deep conductive anomalies related to the geothermal systems in Sabalan area.To investigate the Sabalan geothermal reservoirs more closelyandto determine the injection and explorationwells, the magnetotelluric data wasscheduled in two phases. MT measurements, in the Sabalan area, could clearly highlight the geothermal reservoir. In this work, the boundaries of the reservoirs were investigated by using integration of MT data.The resistivity sections derived from a 2Dinversion in conjunction with exploration wells and geology surveys showed that the Sabalan geothermal system is in agreement with Johnston’s (1992) model in which the thicker conductive layers are found in the output areas.Two main reservoirs have been detected by using an interpretation of resistivity maps resulted from 1D and 2D inversions of the MT data. The main reservoir is located on the western side of Mt. Sabalan, which extends from south and southwest of Sabalan summit towards the west and Mooeil valley. The model is based on the hydrostatic version of the Navier-Stokes equations. The hydrodynamic part of the model uses the equations of temperature and salinity, and the momentum equations use the Boussinesq approximation, an assumption of vertical hydrostatic equilibrium, and the continuity equation. The equations of the model are discretised on an Arakawa C-grid. The equations of momentum and continuity that are solved numerically use the mode-splitting technique. In order to simulate the circulation of the Caspian Sea, the gridded fields were chosen as 0.046 × 0.046 degrees along the horizontal directions, which gave a grid size of about 5 km, and 30 sigmalayers along the vertical axis. The model was set up for three different forcing configurations. First, the effects of only wind forcing were evaluated using some field observations of wind-driven currents. In the second cofiguration, only the river driving-force was evaluated by the model and the flow fields were obtained. Finally, in the last configuration, all driving-forces such as wind forcing, air pressure, air temperature, precipitation rate, cloud cover and humidity along the initial conditions including temperature and salinity of the basin were examined in order to calculate the overall circulation of the Caspian Sea. The outputs and results showed that the approximate mean current created only by rivers was 110 of the circulation velocity created by the wind driving force and this was about 13 in May and June due to an increase in the discharge of the Volga River. However, the peak velocity of the wind-driven current was much less than that of the currents caused by the river Volga near its entrance. Because the wind forcing also plays an effective role in evaporation over the water surface, and changes the density of water masses, it could be considered a factor that indirectly contributed to the formation of currents as a result of the density gradient. Also the rivers, due to their low salinity and a different temperature, can change the water density creating currents resulted from the density gradient.     Our results showed that the mean surface current speed for most of the year, regardless of the wind effect on the formation of currents, caused by density gradients, is caused mainly by the wind stress. Therefore, it could be concluded that the wind-driven forcing near the surface was the main cause of surface current formations of the Caspian Sea. Our results also showed that with all forcing thermohaline circulation in the northern part of the Caspian Sea in cold seasons and deep basin water, circulations during the year were the main components of abyssal flows in the Caspian Sea. The interesting feature of the deep flow was the abyssal flow over the Abshooran sill (between the middle and southern basins of the Caspian Sea) that as it entered the southern basin it generated an isobathic flow in the deeper part of this basin. }, keywords = {Caspian Sea,current velocity,wind forcing,thermohaline circulation,COHERENSmodel}, title_fa = {تعیین اثر واداشتهای مهم بر گردش دریای خزر با استفاده از شبیهسازی عددی}, abstract_fa = {در این تحقیق نقش واداشت‌های گوناگون در گردش و سرعت جریان‌های سطحی دریای خزر با استفاده از مدل سه‌بُعدی COHERENSبرای سال 2004 مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. در شبیه‌سازی گردش آب دریای خزر، شبکه‌بندی حوزه در راستای افق 0.046×0.046 درجه و در راستای قائم دارای 30 لایه سیگما در نظر گرفته شده و سه اجرای متفاوت برای مدل به انجام رسیده است. ابتدا اثر واداشت باد به مدل اِعمال و جریان‌های بادرانده با این اجرا بررسی شده است. سپس در اجرای دوم فقط واداشت رودخانه‌ای به مدل اِعمال و سرعت‌های جریان ناشی از این واداشت به‌دست آمد. در آخرین اجرا همه واداشت‌های جوّی (سرعت باد، فشار هوا، دمای هوا، آهنگ بارش ، پوشش ابری و رطوبت نسبی) و شرایط اولیه (دما و شوری آب منطقه) در مدل اِعمال شد تا سرعت جریان‌ها در کل خزر محاسبه شود. خروجی‌ها و نتایج اجراهای متفاوت نشان می‌دهد که سرعت جریان‌های ایجاد شده با رودخانه‌ها به تقریب یک دهمسرعت جریان‌های بادرانده است که در ماه‌های مه و ژوئن این نسبت به یک سوم می‌‌رسد.از طرفی مقایسه بین سرعت جریان‌های کلی در سطح دریا و سرعت جریان‌های بادرانده سطحی نشان داده است که واداشت باد اثر زیادی در سرعت جریان‌های کلی دارد و یکی از مهم‌ترین عوامل شکل‌گیری جریان‌های سطحی دریای خزر است. با بررسی اختلاف مقادیر بین سرعت جریان‌های بادرانده و رودخانه‌ای با سرعت جریان‌های کلی و همچنین بررسی ساختار دمایی و اثرات گرادیان دما در ناحیه خزر جنوبی و میانی حاصل از نتایج شبیه‌سازی مشخص شده است که جریان‌های ترموهالاینی نیز نقش موثری در الگوی گردش دریای خزر داشته‌اند.به‌طورکلی در اغلب ماه‌های سال الگوی گردش در لایه‌های زیر‌سطحی تا نزدیک بستر در خزر میانی و جنوبی به‌طور پادساعت‌گرد است. در لایه‌های میانی به طرف بستر، تفاوت مقادیر سرعت جریان بسیار کم است و تا اندازه زیادی شرایط همگن در این لایه‌ها به‌وجود آمده است و در نتیجه تغییرات سرعت جریان در این لایه‌ها مقدار قابل‌توجهی نیست. جریان‌هایعمیق در امتداد هم‌عمق‌ها در خزر جنوبی نیز از ویژگی‌های گردش آب‌های عمیق این حوزه است.}, keywords_fa = {دریای خزر,سرعت جریان,واداشت‌های باد,واداشت جریان‌های ترموهالاینی,مدل COHERENS}, url = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33597.html}, eprint = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33597_500813f0fba8cfd5a2d9022bf88f796a.pdf} } @article { author = {Soltani Moghaddam, Saeed and Shomali, Zaher Hossein and Hatami, Mohammad Reza}, title = {Earthquake relocation of Varzaghan- Ahar 6.5 Mw, 6.3 Mwand their aftershocks using probabilistic nonlinear algorithm}, journal = {Iranian Journal of Geophysics}, volume = {9}, number = {3}, pages = {143-159}, year = {2016}, publisher = {Iranian Geophysical Society}, issn = {2008-0336}, eissn = {2783-168X}, doi = {}, abstract = {Earthquake relocation has an important role in the investigation of tectonic settings of a region. An increase in accuracy of a relocation problem can enhance the calculation of the local velocity model as well as associated studies of a risk analysis. There are some important procedures to make a reliable catalog of earthquakes. Verifying the seismic waveform to correct the picked phases, utilizing other seismic networks and using an appropriate local or regional velocity model, we can improve the final results. In a case with a well-conditioned network geometry, using an accurate local velocity model has a significant effect on increasing the depth accuracy. In this study, we have tried to use all available information from seismic networks in NW Iran and south Azerbayjan. We relocated the double main-shock of Varzaghan-Ahar Mw 6.5, Mw 6.3 and more than 1800 aftershocks with Ml > 2.0 over a 10-month period after the main shocks. To increase the accuracy of the earthquake location, we merged the recorded information of eight short periods of the Iranian Seismological Center (IRSC), one broad band station of the International Institute of Engineering and Earthquake Seismology (IIEES) and five broad band stations of the Azerbaijan National Seismic Network (ANSN). We also calculated a local velocity model using a P arrival time inversion scheme (using VELEST code) not only to obtain a more reliable earthquake location especially in depth, but also to decrease the hypocentral error. We have used all the data between 2006 and 2013 after applying a band-pass filter to get a uniform dataset of the earthquake within 250 km around the main shocks. The final velocity model indicated two velocity layers in the upper-crust with p-velocities of 5.87, 6.01 km/s and 6, 18 km thicknesses, respectively. These layers lay on a half-space with a p-velocity of 6.40 km/s. To minimize the effect of the initial velocity model on the final result, we implemented 50 random depth-increasing velocity models. Furthermore, making use of a non-linear probabilistic approach for relocating the earthquake leads to more accurate results compared to linear location programs. A comparison of the results of hypocenters between the IRSC catalog and those calculated by this study shows better line-alignment in the direction of the infer fault. Epicenter and depth error reduction due to making use of an accurate local velocity model were clearly obvious. Plotting the five depth cross sections along and perpendicular to after-shock sequence, shows a more clear geometry compared to the fixed-depth results from the IRSC catalog. According to some statistical parameters such as the hypocentral error, RMS and also preliminary location conditions such as the azimuthal gap and the number of stations, we defined two classes of events and plotted them for both IRSC and this study in map view and cross sections. This was a better way to show accuracy of our dataset (relocated events) than what we obtained by IRSC. Using the focal mechanism of the two main shocks obtained by the IRSC, along with the event distribution especially in depth, showed that there was more consistency between the results of this study and the fault orientation. This showed that the infer fault had a near vertical plane with an east-west direction and this suggested that it would be a strike-slip fault.}, keywords = {probabilistic non-linear location,local velocity model,Uncertainty,linear method,Nonlinear method}, title_fa = {تعیین مکان مجدد زمین‌لرزههای ورزَقان- اَهر 6.5Mw, 6.3Mwو پس‌لرزههای آن با استفاده از الگوریتم غیرخطی احتمالاتی}, abstract_fa = {مکان‌یابی زمین‌لرزه‌ها، به منزلة یکی از پارامترهای مبنایی در تحقیقات زلزله‌شناسیِ هر منطقه، دارای اهمیت زیادی است. افزایش دقت مکان‌یابی زمین‌لرزه‌ها، می‌تواند موجب افزایش دقت و اطمینان در محاسبة مدل‌های سرعتی (و برعکس) و همچنین بررسی‌های مرتبط با تحلیل خطر و کاهش ریسک لرزه‌ای، شود. برای دست‌یابی به یک فهرست‌نامه دقیق، بررسی مجدد شکل موج‌های ثبت شده به‌منظور تعیین صحیح فازهای لرزه‌ای، استفاده از اطلاعات ثبت ‌شده در سایر شبکه‌ها و به‌کارگیری مدل‌های سرعتی محلی، لازم و ضروری است و باعث افزایش دقت مختصات کانون زمین‌لرزه‌ها خواهد شد. همچنین در مواردی که، وضعیت پوشش آزیموتی ایستگاه‌ها دارای شرایط آرمانی باشد، استفاده از الگوریتم‌های  غیرخطی در کنار مدل‌های سرعتی دقیق محلی، تاثیر بسزایی در افزایش دقت عمق رویدادها خواهد داشت. در این تحقیق سعی شده است تا با استفاده از همه توان شبکه‌های لرزه‌نگاری منطقه، شامل شبکه ملی  نوارپهن ایران و آذربایجان و مرکز لرزه‌نگاری کشور، به کارگیری الگوریتم  غیرخطی احتمالاتی و محاسبه مدل سرعتی محلی- منطقه‌ای، به مکان‌یابی زمین‌لرزه دوقلوی 11 اوت 2012 منطقه ورزقان با بزرگای 6.5Mwو 6.3Mwو پس‌لرزه‌های آنها تا ده ماه پس از رویداد اصلی، پرداخته شود. به‌منظور افزایش دقت مکان‌یابی، علاوه بر به‌کارگیری ایستگاه‌های  نوارپهن پژوهشگاه بین المللی زلزله‌شناسی و مهندسی زلزله کشور در کنار ایستگاه‌های مرکز لرزه‌نگاری کشور، از پنج ایستگاه  نوارپهن شبکه لرزه‌نگاری آذربایجان نیز استفاده شد. استفاده از ایستگاه‌های شبکه ملی آذربایجان تاثیر بسزایی در کاهش گپ آزیموتی و افزایش دقت مکان‌یابی زمین‌لرزه‌ها دارد و باعث خواهد شد تا مدل سرعتی به‌دست آمده، میانگین مناسب‌تری از بی‌هنجاری‌‌‌های سرعتی منطقه مورد بررسی باشد. در بخش مکان‌یابی رویدادها، از برنامه  غیرخطی احتمالاتی لوماکس استفاده شد که نسبت به برنامه‌های خطی، بهبود قابل‌توجهی در مکان‌یابی و به‌خصوص در تعیین عمق و خطای صحیح‌تر زمین‌لرزه‌ها، ایجاد کرده است. همچنین به‌منظور کاهش خطای مکان‌یابی و افزایش دقت عمق رویدادها، یک مدل سرعتی یک‌بُعدی با استفاده از وارون‌سازی داده‌های زمان‌سیر فازهای Pثبت شده، بین سال‌های 2006 تا 2013 با استفاده از برنامه ولست محاسبه شد. مدل به‌دست آمده شامل دو لایه سرعتی در پوسته بالایی با ضخامت‌های 6 و 18 کیلومتر و سرعت موج تراکمی 87/5 و 01/6 کیلومتر بر ثانیه است که روی یک نیم‌فضا با سرعت موج تراکمی 40/6 کیلومتر بر ثانیه، قرار گرفته است. در این بخش به‌منظور کاهش خطای محاسباتی در مدل نهایی و وابسته نبودن آن به انتخاب مدل اولیه، از 50 مدل سرعتی تصادفی با گرادیان افزایشی در عمق و میدان سرعتی، استفاده شد. نتایج به‌دست آمده از مقایسة خطای رومرکزی، عمق و rmsبیش از 1800 زمین‌لرزه، کاهش قابل‌قبول این خطاها را در مقایسه با فهرست‌نامه مرکز لرزه‌نگاری کشور نشان می‌دهد. به‌منظور مشاهدة بهتر نتایج به‌دست آمده، پنج نیم‌رُخ‌‌ عمقی، موازی و عمود بر روند توزیع پس‌لرزه‌ها رسم شد. با یک دسته‌بندی مناسب، رویدادهای با دقت بیشتر، به‌منظور نمایش بهتر هندسه گسل مسبب، انتخاب شد. توزیع رومرکز و عمق رویدادها، دو بخش جدا از هم را در اطراف گسل مسبب، نمایان ساخت. رسم مختصات کانونی دو زمین‌لرزة اصلی، هم‌خوانی قابل‌قبولی با نتایج به‌دست آمده دارد و پراکندگی زمین‌لرزه‌ها روند مشخصی را، به‌خصوص در عمق نشان می‌دهد. بررسی نیم‌رُخ‌‌‌های گوناگون عمقی نیز، تا حد مطلوبی ساختار هندسی گسل مسبب (صفحه گسلی با امتداد شرق-غرب و شیب نزدیک به قائم) را مشخص می‌کند که با حل سازوکار کانونی به‌دست آمده در مرکز لرزه‌نگاری کشور مطابقت خوبی دارد.}, keywords_fa = {مکان‌یابی غیرخطی احتمالاتی,مدلسرعتی یکبعُدی,خطای مکان‌یابی,سازوکار کانونی}, url = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33589.html}, eprint = {https://www.ijgeophysics.ir/article_33589_8a0f71320736d76e285e2685800543f4.pdf} }
